Please support my Ambitious About Autism Challenge!

On Sunday 22nd June 2025, I will be cycling 220 miles in a single day; starting in Manchester and finishing in London. Although I am a keen cyclist, this is more than twice as far as I have ever cycled before in one day.  But Ambitious about Autism is fantastic cause, which is very close to my heart:

My youngest son is autistic and the advice, resources, information, guidance and support we've had from this charity has been invaluable and always at a time when it is most needed.

Ambitious about Autism is the national charity standing with autistic children and young people, guiding them in the world as they grow into adults. They champion rights, campaign for change and create opportunities for autistic young people and their families.

Please help me raise as much as we can so that they can help many more people in the future.

My Updates

The Why

Friday 7th Feb

Ambitious About Autism is a charity that has helped me a lot.  It became clear quite late on that my son was autistic as he slipped through the net at primary school.  This meant that we all had a lot of catching up to do.   In fact, we are still playing catch up.   The resources and information on their website helped me understand Autism in a practical way that helps me help my son.   They have also helped him.  Having now experienced ‘the system’ first hand, I am acutely aware of the importance of providing support, education, and opportunities for autistic young people to help them thrive in a world that often seems rigged against them.

This charity not only works to raise awareness about autism but also ensures that those it is involved with receive the tailored education and resources they need. Their innovative programs and schools, such as TreeHouse School and The Rise School, demonstrate their commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can succeed.

Ambitious About Autism's are also vocal advocates, influencing policy changes and improving public understanding of autism. By empowering young people with autism to voice their experiences and aspirations they aim to foster a society that values and respects neurodiversity. By sponsoring me and supporting this charity you are contributing to a future where individuals with autism are not restricted by societal barriers, but are celebrated for their strengths and perspectives.
