Dear all,
On June 22 I am cycling the 352
KM/220 miles from Manchester to London in one day to raise funds for the charity Ambitious about Autism. This time is personal.
Last year our gorgeously brilliant boy Lele was diagnosed with autism (ASD) and ADHD.
It has been a journey that has Lele has taken in his stride but it’s a tough one, and one that my wife Annie and I are living through the ups and downs of trying to get it right, sometimes, and getting it wrong, a lot.
The long path to familiarise with neurodiversity is something that brings in many issues of my personal past and present. Many of my family members have struggled with depression and bipolar including my dad and the question that lingers on is:
if there had been the awareness that there is now on autism, ADHD and neurodivergence in general would their journey through life been easier?
and how can we make sure that Lele and his generation benefits from all the help possible and leave the happy, fulfilling life that their beautiful souls deserve?
If you can help and donate even a small amount and help Ambitious about Autism being just that I will be very grateful.
Meanwhile, I’ll go back to have nightmares about being able to cycle 352 km in a day….
Thanks!
Fede
