I hope you are all sitting comfortably, as well, its probable that after doing this event, I won’t be able to for a good while!

After a couple of drinks at the Night of Ambition I signed myself up to a really long bike ride. Alongside a few equally like-minded people, on Sunday 23rd June I plan on cycling 220 miles in just one day from Manchester to London. Why? Well mainly because I had a temporary loss of sanity, but more importantly that its for a good cause: Ambitious About Autism.

You didn’t misread that, its 220 miles in one day. Now I’m no stranger to a road bike and I do actually enjoy cycling, but it would be fair to assume that I underestimated this one a little.

The levels of training I’ve had to put in in preparation for this event has been a challenge in itself and has certainly been a wake up call; Rain or shine, day or night, between 2 and 10 hours at a time I’m out on my road bike getting the miles in and preparing myself as best as I can.

Ambitious About Autism are an incredible charity that supports autistic children and young people, and I’m determined to pedal every last mile to help them out.

Ambitious about Autism want to help create a world where autistic children and young people are heard, included and supported. 

Just £20 can contribute towards a family support worker for an autistic young person. This could allow Ambitious about Autism to provide telephone support to a family in crisis on matters such as welfare, health, and legal support.

If you’re able to make any donation, large or small, to support Ambitious About Autism’s work and make a real difference to the lives of young people with autism, it would be hugely appreciated.
