My target 220 mi

Please support my Ambitious Challenge!

I will be cycling 220 miles in a single day on Sunday 22 June 2025. Starting in Manchester and finishing in London,

Yes, I have done it before. But not in my sixties… …when I cannot tell if that creak is from the bikes bottom-bracket or my right knee.

But the point is…

Ambitious about Autism is the national charity standing with autisitc children and young people. They champion rights, campaign for change and create opportunities for autistic young people and their families.

I have seen this through the eyes of Simon Mottram (Rapha founder), who set up this challenge, and who has first-hand experience of what AAA does to help autistic young people and their families.

Me and two excellent ambassadors for AaA

Sunday 22nd Jun
Lucy and Simon Mottram - huge supporters, from the off, of AaA.

Ride done…

Sunday 22nd Jun
14hours 30odd - not bad for 60

What is to come

Saturday 21st Jun
And this is the route card with the stops on the route…. Now to bed! (And no air con🥵)

Quite the adventure already…

Saturday 21st Jun
30deg at Euston, so the railway had melted and all trains cancelled - when resurrected no bike places on the later trains! Rapha to ten rescue and we rode across N. London to intercept the Rapha van and load the bikes. Then hopped on a train to Liverpool - abandoned it at Crewe - and got a Welsh train to Manchester! Getting here only 3.5 hours late - van only an hour and a bit behind. So all now ready to go…

For those without Strava access…

Friday 20th Jun

Second to last training ride - OH stomping ground!
