On June 25th, I'm embarking on a journey from Manchester to London, covering a distance of 350km (220 miles) with a challenging elevation gain of 3,500m, including early morning climbs in the Peak District. This ride surpasses my previous longest distance by 200km, presenting a significant test, especially for someone like me, primarily a commuter or a casual cyclist. I've planned an extensive training regimen to prepare for this demanding endeavor.


During this ride, I'll be fundraising for Ambitious about Autism, a remarkable charity dedicated to supporting autistic children, advocating for their rights, and fostering opportunities through various well-crafted initiatives. The organization is involved in running education services, assisting young individuals in finding employment, and offering training programs to enhance understanding and awareness. Training - First 200km Audax

Thursday 28th Mar
To prepare for the 350km ride, I recently managed to complete the 200km Audax - Delightful Dales which was my longest and hilliest ride to date! The cycle started in the ride and naturally finished in the rain, though we did have pockets of sun! 
The roads were amazing and the views were incredible! The first climb, Park rash was the hardest and luckily for me I did not know this until we reached the top! 
I'm slowly building up the distance and looking forward to completing more 200km in the build up to June 23rd.
