On Sunday 28 June 2026 I will ride 220 miles in a single day from Manchester to London. A test of endurance, a journey that demands everything, and gives back more.

I am taking on the Ambitious 220 Challenge to raise funds for Ambitious about Autism, the national charity standing with autistic children and young people.

Too often autistic young people are unheard, unsupported, or shut out of opportunities. That can change. Every mile and every turn of the pedals helps create a world where autistic children and young people are accepted for who they are and given the chance to realise their ambitions.

This is more than a ride. This has purpose.

💚 Manchester to London 2026 💚

In life, I’ve made some crazy choices, and cycling 220 miles in one day is definitely up there with the biggest of them. But it’s one I’ll never regret or forget, because it was all for the incredible charity Ambitious about Autism.

As most of you know, we’ve been blessed with two wonderful boys. Our Wills was diagnosed with autism and ADHD, and our Albie is currently going through the assessment process. Taking on this challenge meant so much to me. Pushing myself for one day is nothing compared to the challenges my boys face every single day.

I can’t thank you all enough for the love, support, encouraging messages, and most of all, the hard-earned donations you’ve given to this amazing charity. Every penny will help provide children and young adults with autism the support, opportunities, and brighter futures they deserve.

Sunday was an incredible day, riding alongside people with autism, parents and carers of autistic children, supportive friends and family, and those returning once again to raise money for such an important cause.

Along the route, I found my team, and we encouraged each other all the way to the finish. Matt and Geoff, you really made my day. But the icing on the cake was seeing Rob waiting for me with his bike, ready to ride the final 70 miles by my side. I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky, but I couldn’t wish for a better husband and father to our boys to share this life with.

I’m immensely proud to have been part of M2L 2026, and I’ve realised I’m so much stronger than I ever give myself credit for.

Can’t believe where the time has gone! Clocked up some more miles and with some lovely people getting me through. Couple more big rides and then it’s 
off to Manchester I go to hope I survive the distance. It’s going to take some doing. 
Just want to thank each and every one of you who has sponsored, offered words or encouragement and trained with me so far. It means the world, for this wonderful Charity and to me. Couldn’t keep going without you.

Halfway to fundraising target 🥳

Wednesday 18th Mar
First sunny day with spring creeping in we headed out for my longest distance in training as yet. I mean I’m not thinking of the 179 more miles I will be riding also on the 28th June!! But it felt good today and with the support of my husband Rob, my navigator and hill finder its one long ride in the bag.
